Tourists again will be allowed in Buckingham Palace

Tourists will be able to about two dozen of the ceremonial halls of the Royal residence.

Every year since 1992, in the summer, the official London residence of the British monarch Buckingham Palace opens its doors to visitors.

Usually, visits to the Royal Palace are held in the period when Queen Elizabeth II moved to his summer residence in Scotland.

During this time visitors will have the opportunity to visit about two dozen of the ceremonial halls of the Royal residence and see the most valuable exhibits of the Royal collection: paintings by famous painters and sculptors, and fine English and French furniture, which are still used by the Royal family to receive important guests.

In 2018, the company’s open door in Buckingham Palace fell on July 21 – September 30. Every year in the Palace for the occasion a special exhibition. So, this year’s exhibition of Prince and Patron will celebrate the 70th anniversary of heir to the British throne Charles, Prince of Wales with a special display of over 100 works of art selected by him personally. In particular, the exhibition presents paintings, objects of decorative art, furniture and textiles.

The cost of an adult ticket for a tour this year amounts to £ 24.

Note that Buckingham Palace was built in 1703 for the Duke of Buckingham. However, in 1762, the Palace was bought by king George III as their new private residence.
