This popular morning beverage may protect the liver from a rare disease

Research at the Mayo Clinic showed that regular consumption of coffee reduces the risk of a rare liver disease.

The discovery was presented at the conference dedicated to the Week of digestive system diseases, held in Orlando, Florida.

Scientists claim that if every day to drink coffee, you can escape from the primary sclerotic cholangitis (PSC), autoimmune liver disease. It is an inflammatory disease of the bile duct, leading to inflammation and subsequent fibrosis, which in turn can lead to cirrhosis, liver failure and cancer of the biliary tract.

The author of the study gastroenterologist of Mayo clinic and Dr. Craig Lammert has said that cases of the disease are rare, but have very harmful consequences. But the medic says that you should not drink more than one Cup of coffee a day, so as not to harm health.
