Goji berries (Tibetan Goji, Chinese Goji, Shambhala) is a small fruit tree Lycium, of the nightshade family.

Nightshades include potatoes, tomatoes, eggplant, chili and other well-known vegetables, but they are inferior to Goji by the number of useful components.

The composition of Goji berries vitamins b (B1, B2, B3, B6, B12) vitamin C (two times more than citrus fruits) and vitamin E; germanium (used for cancer prevention) calcium and potassium; zinc and copper; manganese, Nickel, phosphorus; cadmium, cobalt, selenium, chromium; carotene (20 times more than in carrots) iodine (greater than pomegranate, apples and spinach) amino acids; monosaccharides and polysaccharides; betaine.

Add in the Goji herbal tea and even prepare on the basis of their alcoholic beverages. In our area the berries are often used instead of raisins and added to cereal, salads and dairy products.

Please note! Goji berries have a tonic effect, so consume them better in the first half of the day, e.g. for Breakfast.
