You’ve probably heard that carrots supports eye health. But there are other products, the use of which will save your vision.
Carrots and other orange colored foods contain beta-carotene, type of vitamin A that improves the condition of the retina and allows the eye to function normally.
But in order for the vision was normal, we must remember not only about the products with beta-carotene. We’ll list what you need to include in your diet for eye health!
Green vegetables
They contain lutein and zeaxanthin – antioxidants that, studies show, lower the risk of degeneration of the cells of the eye and cataracts.
Eggs
Besides the already mentioned lutein and zeaxanthin in the eggs include zinc, which also helps to reduce the risk of macular degeneration – a chronic progressive disease that affects the Central area of the retina.
Citrus and berries
They contain large amounts of vitamin C, which protects against cataracts.
Almonds
Part of the almond vitamin E slows macular degeneration, a major cause of development of blindness after age 60.
Fatty fish
Tuna, salmon, mackerel and trout contain fatty acids which help prevent dry eye syndrome.
