The train to Iran the impossible, believe in Ukrzaliznytsya

The head of Ukrzaliznytsia believes that the announced route “train to nowhere”.

According to transportation expert Alexander Kava, a test train in Iran, announced the Ministry of Infrastructure, can only reach the Azerbaijani-Iranian border.

“Rail transportation is possible from Batumi just to Astara. The nearest train station, Iranian Rasht – 160 kilometers. And this way is yet to be built. It may take 3-4 years. If there will arrive the Ukrainian agricultural products, it will have to ship in cars and to drive on territory of Iran,” said kawa.
