The Spanish Princess was found not guilty of tax crimes

Princess Cristina became the first representative of the Spanish Royal house brought to trial after the restoration of the monarchy in 1975.

The court of Majorca recognized Princess Cristina, sister of king of Spain Philip VI, innocent of the tax evasion.

The court has ordered Princess Cristina to pay 265 million euros in damages in a civil lawsuit.

Princess husband — Inaki Urdangarin — the court sentenced to six years and three months imprisonment and a fine of 512 thousand euros, for the use of ties with the Royal family for personal gain.

Just case involved 16 defendants, including a former member of the government, Jaume Matas, was sentenced to three years and eight months in prison.
