Princess Cristina became the first representative of the Spanish Royal house brought to trial after the restoration of the monarchy in 1975.
The court of Majorca recognized Princess Cristina, sister of king of Spain Philip VI, innocent of the tax evasion.
The court has ordered Princess Cristina to pay 265 million euros in damages in a civil lawsuit.

Just case involved 16 defendants, including a former member of the government, Jaume Matas, was sentenced to three years and eight months in prison.
