The social network will be fined for false information

The ruling party of our country has developed a very interesting bill that that is very, very strange, really aimed at improving the quality of life of Russians. However, we are talking about a virtual life – nobody is going to make the road, to raise salaries or to cancel the destruction of foreign products bulldozers – “United Russia” proposed to fine the social network for the provision of knowingly false information.

The document contains a proposal to monitor the validity of information in Russian social networks and issue warnings to them. In case of refusal to remove false information, the project will issue a fine in the amount from 3 to 5 million rubles for individuals and from 30 to 50 million rubles for legal entities. The bill has already been submitted to the state Duma, and there is a chance that it will be adopted and become a full-fledged law. Social network Vkontakte, which, as we all know, consists of hundreds of pages is not always reliable information, was not slow to react to the news.

The press service of the network noted that the requirements of the new bill are redundant and unrealistic. Such a reaction is quite expected, because if the document will enter into force, the administration will have to monitor every more or less large public, so it’s his fault not to receive a large fine. Other social networks, operating on the territory of Russia, yet has not spoken about a new bill, but think the reaction will be identical.
