American planetary scientist Jason Barnes predicted estimated time of collision of the Earth with his companion. Scientists have calculated that the moon and the Earth may face after 65 billion years.
However, this will only happen in case if by that time our planet will not absorb turned into a red giant the Sun – this can happen in 6 billion years.
The moon must fall to the Ground in connection with the deceleration of its rotation around the planet. Currently it revolves in 27 days, whereas at the last stage of its existence, will turn around the Earth in 47 days.
