The President and the Prime Minister congratulated the lions on a memorable date

Lviv citizens celebrate the city Day.

President Poroshenko and Prime Minister Groysman congratulated citizens of Lviv city Day, which is celebrated this weekend.

“In Lviv – a piece of my heart. This city, where you always want to come back. But more than its streets, truly love the people of Lviv are friendly, smiling, Patriotic. Exciting, as they combine the ability to preserve history with a love of all things modern and new. I congratulate the people are hospitable Lviv city Day!” – wrote Poroshenko on his page on the social network Facebook on Saturday.

In turn, the head of the government Volodymyr Groysman wrote on Facebook: “Congratulations to the ancient Lviv city Day. No matter how many times here or visited, there is always something that calls back again. Happy you wonderful lions!”.

This year Lviv will celebrate 763-anniversary for three days from 3 to 5 may.

According to the Deputy mayor in questions of development of Andrey Moskalenko, a celebration of the city Day will be held in retro style.

“This year we have identified the overall theme of the events that will take place in Lviv for the city Day. The main emphasis is on retro style. It is the culture of interwar Lviv, actively manifests itself in the present,” he stressed.

Residents and guests will have a rich program of events: concerts, workshops, Breakfast discussion, a retro party and many other events.
