The Pentagon made a loud statement in support of Ukraine

The United States promised to continue to exert pressure on Russia in the Ukrainian question.

The United States authorities have never supported and will not support the annexation of Crimea by the Russian Federation.

This statement was made by the Minister of defence of America James Mattis in a press briefing after talks with Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko.

Also, the Pentagon stressed that Moscow’s ambitions to undermine the sovereignty of European countries and aggravate tensions.

“We do not accept and will never accept the annexation of Crimea by the Russian Federation. Despite the denial of Russia, we know that they are trying to redraw international borders by force. Actually Russia agreed to a cease-fire Minsk agreement and agreed to withdraw all its troops, to ensure further cooperation on security in Europe in the framework of the Minsk agreements”, – said Mattis.
