The Nobel prize in chemistry was given “cooler” molecules

Scientist have learned how to instantly freeze the molecules.

The Nobel prize in chemistry was awarded to Jacques Dubose, Joachim Frank, Richard Henderson, for “development cryoelectron microscopy for structure determination of biomolecules with high ability in solution”. This was reported on the official website of the award.

“The Nobel prize in chemistry in 2017 is awarded to Jacques Dubose, Joachim Frank, Richard Henderson, for the development cryoelectron microscopy, which simplifies and improves the image of biomolecules. This method opened a new era in biochemistry”, – stated in the message of the Committee.
