“The new newspaper”: in Chechnya, was executed 27 people

What is suspected dead and on what basis they were detained is unknown.

In Chechnya (Russia) in the night of the 26th of January 2017, there was a mass extrajudicial execution, which killed 27 people in the Republic. This is with reference to sources in the management of the Chechen branch of the Investigative Committee of Russia and the administration of the head of the Republic writes “the New newspaper”.

The editorial Board notes that cannot say for sure whether took place on the night of 26 January “unprecedented in scale extrajudicial execution”. Killed, according to not yet confirmed the publication of data, maybe more – 56 people.

According to the newspaper, the shooting occurred on the territory of the dislocation of the regiment of patrol-guard service of the police, named after Hero of Russia Akhmat-Hadji Kadyrov (PPSP them. Kadyrov). At the time of purported execution there were several high-ranking Chechen officials, including Deputy interior Minister of Chechnya Apti Alaudin, the commander of SOBR “Terek”, the chief bodyguard of the President, Abusal Vismuradov, commander of the PPSP to them. Kadyrov Aslan Iriskhanov and head OMVD of those districts of Chechnya, where was was detained.

Russian publication notes that the decision on the extrajudicial killings was made “centrally and spontaneously”, while not specifying by whom and in what circumstances. The newspaper also publishes a list of the names of the victims.

All of them, according to the newspaper, was detained during a mass investigative actions on the territory of the Republic, which began in mid-December, 2016. In January 2017 the RAID took place, during which the law enforcers also detained residents of Chechnya. According to the investigation, the media, the detainees were not issued officially, they are not charged, and just put in basements and utility rooms of the departments of the Republican police. In total, according to the newspaper, police detained about 200 people.

Most people, according to the list of detainees in January the inhabitants of the Republic, who gave the journalists a source in the Chechen interior Ministry, was detained by law enforcement agencies in the settlement of the Shawl is 28.
