The NBU said that the new version of the collapse of the hryvnia

To blame oil and gas traders, according to the Central Bank.

The weakening in September, the hryvnia to the us dollar mainly due to seasonal demand for foreign currency on the part of energotrader. This was reported on the official website of the national Bank.

“Devaluation pressure on the hryvnia in September was primarily seasonal, associated with the traditional growth of demand for foreign currency from oil and gas traders, which also increased with a moderate increase in oil prices on the world market”, – stated in the message.

Also, the national Bank noted the deterioration in the quantity of foreign currency by the population with the growing demand. In NBU believe that the increase in demand due to a seasonal deterioration in exchange rate expectations.
