The Director of military programs Razumkov Center Nicholas Sungurovsky drew attention to the fact that preparations for input of the UN peacekeeping mission in the Donbass will take considerable time.
He reported about it in interview to the edition “Today”.
“Process integrated mission planning consists of three stages: pre-planning (the direction of the technical mission, the development of the concept with the conditions input and output operations); operational planning (definition of the mandate, consultation and distribution of tasks to the participants, determination of resource requirements); the current planning and control (definition of command mission, which proceeds to direct the planning and updating of the mission),” explained Sungurovskiy.
He stressed that the first two phases take not less than one year.
“Therefore, even if tentatively decided to expand the mission, to us for at least another year to defend,” – said the expert.
