The Deputy Minister spoke about corruption in state enterprises

Nefedov I am sure that privatisation will fight corruption.

The detectives NAB now investigate 49 corruption cases in the state, totaling about 20 billion hryvnia. This was stated by Deputy Minister of economic development and trade Maxim Nefedov reported in the press service of the Ministry.

“Only the NAB is investigating 49 cases 20 billion UAH of corruption in state enterprises,” said Nefedov.

The Deputy Minister also believes the situation with state-owned enterprises in Ukraine are absurd, for example, he cited the situation in China.

“In Ukraine, the government, with a population of 42 million people manages 3444 state-owned enterprises, while in China, with a population of 1.4 billion people, the government manages the 102 state-owned enterprises,” said Nefedov.

In his opinion, privatization would eliminate corruption at the ongoing businesses, and save taxpayers money that is spent to cover loss-making activities.
