The defense announced ready for winter

Repair campaign completed for all thermal units, but they are on schedule.

The power grid state company Ukrenergo is technically ready for the autumn-winter period 2017-2018.

This was announced by the head of company Vsevolod Kovalchuk on the Facebook page Ukrenergo.

“All activities were performed in full. Repair campaign completed for all thermal units, but they are on schedule. No problems from a technical point of view in the power system equipment in transmission networks and generation is not expected. However, for the second consecutive year, the problem of shortage of coal. Unfortunately, this year we are in the same situation as a year ago. When we have observed critically low coal stocks at the beginning of the season. But as this is the third year in a row we don’t expect any particular problems,” – said Kovalchuk.

According to him, the problems with the passage of the autumn-winter period is not expected to be subject to the schedules of accumulation in warehouses of thermal coal of anthracitic group.
