President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has appointed his wife Mehriban Aliyev, the first Vice-President.
First Vice-President and Vice-President appeared in the Constitution of Azerbaijan in September 2016. 29 amendments to the basic law on the referendum voted approximately 90 percent of citizens.
