“It’s more than concern. They believe that the court’s decision can change the entire paradigm of the fight against corruption in Ukraine, and this is a fundamental issue for them. Our partners are not saying that we can’t make decisions in the framework of Ukrainian legal field – they say that we need to resolve this issue”, – he said.
The Minister also believes that this decision may affect the pace of European integration and the perception of Ukraine as a country seeking to change.
“Definitely (can affect the pace of European integration of Ukraine – ed.). It can affect not even on the pace, and on the perception of Ukraine as a country that is changing and strives to go forward. This is one of the key issues that should be explicitly addressed. And to solve it so that it was all a guarantee, not a temporary solution,” Klimkin said.
The Minister added that international partners are extremely concerned about this issue.
