NATO’s door remains open to Ukraine – Stoltenberg

NATO Secretary General expressed support to Ukraine.

NATO will remain a reliable partner in the issue of Ukraine’s membership in the Alliance, said the Secretary General of the block Jens Stoltenberg.

“NATO’s door remains open. We continue to work with countries such as Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as Ukraine and Georgia,” he said.

On 7 February, the Verkhovna Rada adopted initiated by the President Petro Poroshenko changes to the Constitution regarding the policy of Ukrainian membership in the European Union and NATO.

For a decision voted by 334 MPs.

In November 2018, the constitutional court upheld the amendments to the main law in terms of integration into the EU and NATO.
