The number of tourists from Ukraine to Switzerland this year may increase by 20% – to 35 thousand people. This was announced by Director of emerging markets Office at Switzerland tourism Federico Sommaruga in his speech at the Embassy of Switzerland.
“We expect growth of tourists from Ukraine this year on 20%. It is about 35 thousand tourists. In 2018 Switzerland visited 28 thousand Ukrainians. Compared with 2017 growth was 25%”, – he said.
Also, Sommaruga reported that the most popular places of residence of Ukrainians in the past year were Geneva, Zurich, St. Moritz, Basel and Zermatt.
He stressed that the biggest flow of tourists from Ukraine was recorded in January.
