Svitolina scored a second victory in Beijing

The first racket of Ukraine Elina Svitolina beat uncompromising Australian Ashleigh Barty and made it to 1/8 final of a major tournament, Beijing WTA Premier Mandatory with a prize Fund of $6,289,521.

In personal meetings Svitolina led 2:0 – Ukrainian this year Barty was beaten in a match of the Federation Cup (4:6, 6:1, 6:2) in the first round of Wimbledon (7:5, 7:6).

At the start of the match, tennis players have exchanged breaks. With the score 2:2 Svitolina once again took the feed Barty, and then in three games on his serve allowed the competitor to win only one ball.

A victory over Ashleigh Barty was for Elina Svitolina 50th of the season. Next opponent of Ukrainian women in Beijing will be the native of Lviv Elena Vesnina, which is the second racket of Russia. The winner of this match in the quarterfinals of the “China Open” will play against French Alize cornet or Caroline Garcia.
