Seven ways to excrete excess water

They really work.

The excess fluid causes bloating and discomfort. And often leads to “water weight”.

Limit consumption of sodium. For the normal functioning of the body needs to maintain a balance of sodium and water. With the increased level of sodium the body absorbs more water, which leads to weight gain. The main source of sodium is salt, but there are processed foods like frozen meals, cold meats, cheese, bread, soup mixes and so on. Eat less sodium and salt.

Choose low-carb foods. The more carbohydrates in the diet, the higher the degree of water retention. Carbohydrates that are not processed by the body for energy is stored as molecules of glycogen. Plus each gram of glycogen added from 3 to 4 grams of water. Choose low-carb foods, like eggs, green leafy vegetables, nuts, seeds, apples and so on.

Exercise regularly. This is a quick way to loss of water. When you exercise, the water exits the body as sweat. Of course, with intensive activity need not to forget to absorb water in order to avoid dehydration.

Reduce the calorie content. When the diet with limited amount of calories the body begins to use stored glycogen as an energy source. And the glycogen in our body is associated with water. This will help to reduce the amount of fluid in the body.

Get enough sleep. The levels of sodium and water in the body are controlled by the sympathetic renal nerves. Research has shown that adequate sleep has a positive impact on these nerves, reducing the degree of water retention.

Protect yourself from stress. Stress stimulates the production of the hormone cortisol. Chronic stress increases the amount of this hormone even more. The researchers found that the increase in cortisol levels of water retention increases.

Drink electrolytes. Sodium, calcium, potassium and phosphate are among the most important electrolytes needed by our body for implementation of functions such as hydration, maintaining the acidity of the blood, regulation of the nerves and recovery of damaged tissues. They also save and water balance in the body.
