Scientists conducted the study, which was attended by 275 healthy women aged 18 to 40 years old wishing to conceive. Every sixth day of the menstrual cycle, the subjects took saliva samples to analyze the level of adrenaline and the stress hormone – cortisol.
It turned out that the possibility of successful conception at owners of high adrenaline levels are 12% lower than in women with minimal indicators of this hormone. But the cortisol level does not affect the possibility of conception.
Experts recommend physicians to pay attention to the level of adrenaline women who want to have a child, to choose the most opportune time for conception.
