Scientists have deciphered an ancient inscription, carved on the plate 3 thousand years ago

It was carved in Turkey at a time when the collapse of the Kingdom Arzawa.

Turkey finished deciphering the ancient inscriptions carved in the 30-meter slab of stone.

The text, written in a dead Luwian language, able to read only two dozen specialists in the world, including Fred Woodhouse, who undertook to decipher. Together with his colleague Eberhard Sangera Wolhusen read Luwian inscription; the results of their work will be published in December. .

The text was carved in a stone slab 3200 years ago, about the time of the ancient Anatolian Arzawa Kingdom disintegrated into several independent States. In the nineteenth century, the original was destroyed: local people used the stone for the construction of the mosque, and there was only a list made by the British archaeologist James Millerton and found in his estate after his death.

The part of modern researchers do not exclude the possibility that the list is fake. The work of Wolhusen and Sanger — the first complete translation of an ancient document. The text tells of king Quantachrome, the ruler of the Worlds — the state, located in the West of modern Turkey. The inscription on the plate tells the story of how the Trojan Prince Moxus led the ships to the battle of Ashkelon (modern. Israel).

After capturing the city, Maxus built around its fortress. Ancient text sheds light on the relationship of Troy and the Worlds; the city was taken by the king of the Worlds Asuitcase, the father of Quantachrome, overthrew the Trojan ruler Valmuza. When Valmus swore allegiance to the World, Masitas restored his rights of the ruler. After the death of Asuitcase his son took the throne Worlds and retained power over Troy and the right to appoint its governors.
