Russia has planned a large-scale disposal of weapons

Must be disposed of 9.9 thousand units of armored vehicles.

The defense Ministry published data on the plans and the amounts of recovered weapons.

Data are contained in the explanatory Memorandum to the draft amendments to the decree of the President of the Russian Federation “About change of the order of realization of released military property, privatization and privatization of enterprises of military trade”.

The text notes that the disposal of weapons should be held before the end of 2020. So, must be disposed of 9.9 thousand units of armored vehicles, 21.5 thousand units of missile and artillery weapons, and about 7 million small arms, more than 150 million units of ammunition, 140 thousand missiles military purposes, for almost 2 thousand planes and helicopters, and other weapons.

“Long-term stay of decommissioned military equipment for the Park and storage areas require additional financial costs associated with protection, create preconditions for theft,” – the document says.
