Roskomnadzor has threatened to close the “Echo of Moscow”

The reason for the claims Adjuster called a kind of “constituent documents”, although it was alleged that the authorities are unhappy with the presence of foreign shareholders.

Roskomnadzor has sent the radio station “Echo of Moscow” the letter with the requirement to eliminate violations of the law which prohibits foreigners to be founders of Russian media. Receipt of a letter confirmed the Agency RNS editor-in-chief of radio station Alexey Venediktov.

In the letter, the Agency requires until February 15 to eliminate the revealed violations. If this is not done, the operation of the station may be suspended.

Later, Roskomnadzor announced that it does not require the “echo of Moscow” to exclude foreign ownership. “They have a problem with the constituent documents which is of a technical nature”, — said the press-Secretary of Department Ampelonskiy.
