Current President Petro Poroshenko has fired the commander of the National Guard Yuriy Allerona. The corresponding decree of may 7, 2019 published on the website of the presidential Administration.
Others by his decree, Poroshenko appointed acting commander of the Natsigvardii Nikolay Balan.
In a statement on the website of the AP said that, according to article 7 of the law on the National guard, the commander of the NSU is appointed and dismissed by the President upon the recommendation of the Minister of internal Affairs.
