Named region of Ukraine with the most expensive products

Vegetables are cheaper and meat more expensive.

Over two summer and two autumn months emerged two trends — the rise in prices of meat and dairy products, including eggs, and reduce the cost of vegetables and groceries, except flour, which has slightly risen.

Where and what products are cheaper in Ukraine (see infographic) and what will be the price to the end of the year, journalists learned.

By the number of items the most expensive products is the leader of the Donetsk oblast, where the highest prices for potatoes, vegetables, flour, buckwheat. The most expensive meat and sausage — in Chernivtsi region, occupying one of the last places in terms of salaries. There meat has risen over the past 4 months than in any other region of the country — 23%, or 22 UAH/kg. of the regions in the Zaporozhye region is now the most expensive boiled sausage — almost 87 UAH/kg (+25% or UAH 17), more tie-dye is only in the Kiev — 88 UAH/kg.

Largest range of cheap products — in Khmelnytsky, it’s eggs, potatoes, and sugar, although the prices of these products out there only lower by 30-50 UAH/kg in comparison with other areas. Kiev boasts the cheapest buckwheat — 18,17 UAH/kg (-5,97 UAH/kg, or 33%). By the way, a year ago in the capital, a kilo of buckwheat cost 38 (!) UAH/kg, it was a record.

According to state Statistics, prices of meat, milk, sausage and eggs significantly ahead of inflation for June-October (inflation in October, economists estimate 1.5%, official data yet), which will be about 5% over this period.

The average salary in the country for June-September has not grown, but rather declined slightly — from to 7360 7351 UAH. That is, all products, except for vegetables, buckwheat and sugar, have become less available: on one salary, they can now be purchased for less than in June.
