Clinicians have discovered that not all alcoholic beverages result in excess fat.

The use of this drink, like gin, can affect the metabolism like a stimulant and cause the acceleration of metabolism, – this was the conclusion of the Latvian scientists from the University of Sigulda. Their study showed that under the influence of gin consumed in the body increases energy and begins more intensive calorie burning. This process lasts for hours after drinking, stated the authors of the project.

“It was established that the gin helps to increase the metabolic rate by 17%, which contributes to the slimming effect,” said they.

The researchers commented on the fact that the stimulating effect produced by the gene, can be explained by the fact that this drink is made using juniper berries. According to scientists, they have a high level of antioxidants and has long been known for its ability to increase the excretion of fluids from the body and enable the digestive process.
