Madrid is ready to use force to suppress protests in Catalonia

The government can go for it for “the recovery act”.

The government will use the Catalan police to quell protests in the region the Central government of Spain is prepared to use force to restore order in Catalonia. About it the press-Secretary of the Spanish government and the education Minister Inigo Mendez de Vigo said in an interview with The Times.

According to the publication, the Spanish government will use the Catalan police to suppress protests that threaten public order. “No government wants any violence, but the government should ensure that the law is observed, and if there are people on the other hand, who do not want to obey the law, then, the Mossos d’esquadra (Catalan police – ed.) we have to restore the law”, – said the representative of the Spanish government.
