Koktebel Jazz Party in Crimea: there are interesting details

The festival organizers did not disclose the names of the invited foreign artists.

The organizers of the jazz festival Koktebel Jazz Party, scheduled from 18 to 20 August in the village of Koktebel in the Crimea, announce the arrival of 14 musical groups from the U.S., Brazil, Germany, France, Switzerland, Korea and other countries.

However, the festival program listed the names of the performers only from neighboring Russia.

So, Russia at the festival to present jazz musician and composer David Goloschekin, staff Brill Family, and trumpeter Valery Ponomarev.

About the problems with the invitation to the annexed Crimea, American and European artists in August 2016, said President of the festival Koktebel Jazz Party, the Russian TV presenter Dmitry Kiselev. According to him, the organizing Committee of the festival in 2016 is not announced the composition of participants after an American artist Arturo Sandoval received a warning from the US state Department.
