Quarrel with a loved one or a bad day at work can influence the size of your jeans.

Since stress can be a cause of obesity as well as poor nutrition or physical inactivity.

In stressful situations release the hormone cortisol. This hormone contributes to the accumulation of abdominal fat. This means that the fat is growing under the muscles and covers your internal organs.

Because fat deposits often changes the proportion of waist to hips. A high level of intra-abdominal fat increases the risk of heart attack and is a component of metabolic syndrome. The disease a lot of consequences – from high cholesterol to diabetes and heart disease.

The best way to prevent problem is, of course, regular exercise and proper nutrition. But it is extremely important to work on reducing your stress levels.

Research shows that women with obesity who practiced meditation and exercises for conscious food consumption, significantly reduced the level of cortisol in the blood and it is easier to get rid of belly fat.
