Interpol has refused to declare an international arrest warrant for former Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk at the request of the Russian Federation.
This was announced by the Minister of internal Affairs Arsen Avakov in his microblog Twitter.
“Interpol on may 3 officially refused Russia the absurd accusation and the request for international arrest warrant for Arseny. KGB provocation to burst,” he wrote.
According to the letter of Interpol, the request was rejected because it does not comply with article 3 of the Charter of the organization, which “strictly prohibits” engaged in interference or activity of political, military, religious or racial character
It is also noted that information about this will be deleted soon.

Avakov, in turn, sent an official letter to the Secretary-General of Interpol jürgen Stock, and assured him that Yatsenyuk had never been to Chechnya, did not take part in any armed conflict, and specified by Russian investigators, the company lived, studied and worked at the place of his birth on the territory of Ukraine.
