In Ukraine, the production of chocolate has fallen by almost 2 times

In total, over the 3 years the volume of chocolate production fell by 45.7%.

Starting in 2014, due to the onset of the crisis phenomena in the economy, the confectionery market in our country shows a tendency to decrease.

So, in 2015, the decline in the segment was 15.7% compared to the 2014 results.

Last year, the reduction was insignificant – 0,08%.

In addition to the reduction in production was observed and the decline in exports and imports.

The cause of the decline in imports was the sharp jump in prices for foreign goods. The unstable policy has led not only to higher prices of ready confectionery products, but also to higher prices for raw materials used for the manufacture of chocolate in Ukraine.
