In the Netherlands, the beach covered “mini-tsunami”. Video

The waves reached a height of over two meters.

A huge tidal wave resembling a tsunami struck the beach resort town of Zandvoort in the Netherlands.

Published on YouTube footage shows how powerful the waves wash away the shore boats, sun loungers and beach umbrellas. The author of the video surprised reiterates “tsunami”.

The waves reached a height of over two meters. Vacationers in Zandvoort tourists witnessed a rare natural phenomenon — meteotsunami. It occurs because of movement of water masses as a result of sudden changes in atmospheric pressure and is a harbinger of the thunderstorm, the newspaper notes.
