The waves reached a height of over two meters. Vacationers in Zandvoort tourists witnessed a rare natural phenomenon — meteotsunami. It occurs because of movement of water masses as a result of sudden changes in atmospheric pressure and is a harbinger of the thunderstorm, the newspaper notes.
