In Portugal, a growing number of victims of forest fires

The situation with forest fires intensified on 15 October.

Victims of forest fires that swept Central and Northern regions of Portugal, has become 41. This is reported by Western media, citing data from the Portuguese authorities on Tuesday, October 17.

Earlier it was reported about 36 dead, and 62 injured. While 15 of the injured are in hospitals in serious condition. Media also reported that another seven people are reported missing.

The situation with forest fires which often start in Portugal in the summer, worsened on 15 October due to high temperatures and strong winds.

Note, in the U.S. state of California as a result of forest fires killed 38 people.
