In the village of Santa Severa in the province of Lazio (50 km from Rome) for tourists opened hostel located in a medieval castle.

Santa-Severa is one of the oldest castles in Italy. After four years of restoration, the castle was opened to tourists as an architectural monument. In the castle there are three Museum and observation tower.
Every year the city is becoming more popular. It is visited by over 50 thousand people.
The castle was built in the late tenth century. Until the FIFTEENTH century, the building belonged to wealthy families. At various times it stayed influential public figures, as well as many of the popes. 1943 the Germans used it as a fortification.
