It is a mistake to believe that rotavirus infection is a dangerous disease peculiar to young children. Actually, to pick up pathogens can everyone, regardless of age.

In medicine, rotavirus is often called the stomach flu, because it is passed through food, dirty hands and household appliances, as well as by airborne droplets, but the last way of transmission is not as common as the first two.

Children have a more vivid symptoms of rotavirus infection, which is easily identified, but in adults the symptoms can be “erased”, so it is best not to postpone visit to the doctor or call it home. Children usually cause “ambulance”, because they require urgent hospitalization due to intoxication.
