Groysman will retire, if not be able to carry out pension reform

The Prime Minister expressed confidence that the Verkhovna Rada will support pension reform.

Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman expressed readiness to resign from his post if he fails to carry out pension reform.

The head of government said in a broadcast on Ukrainian television.

“From October 1 of 5.62 million Ukrainian pensioners receive a higher pension, and are quite substantial. If I don’t, please, I am willing then to resign,” – said Groisman.

At the same time, the Ukrainian Prime Minister expressed confidence that the Verkhovna Rada will support pension reform, and the Cabinet Ministers will be able to implement it.

“I know we can do this together with the coalition and the President. Agree on those decisions, they will be signed by the President, and we will realize them”, – said the head of government.
