Google has launched its new mobile computer Pixelbook, which is a laptop-computer on powerful modern hardware. It is stylish, strong and really smart, but here’s the problem: without the Internet it becomes just a useless toy due to the lack of a full operating system.
New Google Pixelbook is not on Windows and even on Linux it installed Chrome OS, whose functionality is severely limited and tied to either online services or applications for Android, so a full OS it can not be called. However, if you want it you can put and Win10, and any modern Linux distribution, because the iron are adequate, and there without any ARM processor.
Google Pixelbook is endowed with a touch screen with a diagonal of 12.3 inches and can transform into a tablet and be controlled with the stylus Google Pen Pixelbook, which, however, is sold separately and is worth exactly $ 100. The computer case has a thickness of just millimeters, but inside it is the CPU Intel Core i5 or i7 processor, up to 16GB RAM, SSD up to 512 GB and the battery for 10 hours of work. Google Pixelbook weighs 1 kg and supports a resolution of 2400х1600 points (the screen brightness is 400 units), while its keyboard has a backlight.
