Germany expressed its position on the situation in the East of Ukraine

The German foreign Ministry requires urgently begin to implement the Minsk agreements.

On Friday, July 21, the Ministry of foreign Affairs of Germany issued a statement in which it urged all parties to the conflict in the East of Ukraine to immediately implement the agreed arrangements. Otherwise, conflict can only increase, which will lead to the deaths of many more people and the entire political process.

The document emphasizes: “a Promise in words was of no avail. The most intensive negotiating efforts lead to nothing if there is no political will to implement the agreements. Eastern Ukraine needs the finally, the obvious steps in the direction of the world.”

The German foreign Ministry notes that the East of Ukraine is not the first time received the news of concern. The agreed ceasefire is not holding, continued numerous attacks from both sides of the line of contact. In the region of every day there are new victims among the participants of the conflict, and among the civilian population.

The German foreign Ministry indicates that only in recent days, Ukrainian troops lost 14 killed and 13 wounded. The same loss apparently suffered by the separatists, the document says.

The German foreign Ministry in this regard, recalls that in talks in the Normandy format Moscow and Kiev has repeatedly promised to use his influence to force the parties to the conflict to respect the ceasefire and, finally, to withdraw heavy weapons from the contact line.
