France took first place in the finals of the annual world Cup of pastry (Coupe de Monde de la Pâtisserie Pâtisserie), held in the French city of Lyon.
This international prestigious competition was established in 1989 by the famous French pastry chef Gabriel Biassono.
Among the 22 teams, consisting of three experts (for sugar, chocolate and ice cream), the French team perfectly passed the 10 hour test and became the winner. Second place went to the team from Japan, and the third – the bakers from Switzerland.
The teams presented to the jury a chocolate dish, a dish of ice cream, as well as several national dessert. It is worth noting that the French triumph in the world Cup of pastry for the eighth time in the history of its existence.
