Five reasons to treat yourself to a pistachio

It’s tasty and healthy.

Pistachios humanity knows and loves, but for many thousands of years. The first mention of them dates back to 6000 BC. In fact, the pistachio is the seed fruit that ripens in late fall and grows in the middle East, Central Asia and some regions of America.

Pistachios also reduce inflammation in the arteries and blood vessels and reduce the risk of heart disease.

Nuts generally is the best remedy for losing weight or thinner. They help to throw off those extra pounds and to maintain weight at a normal level. Pistachios are also included in all the diets because of the abundance in them of fiber and low content of saturated fat. In other words, eating a handful of nuts, you feel full but not consume calories. A high content of protein promotes the process of burning energy.

Age-related vision loss is a serious problem that can be solved, including by adding to your diet of pistachios. They contain lutein and zeaxanthin, which are not found in other nuts. These antioxidants help protect eye tissues from inflammation caused by free radicals and oxidation process. They also help with age-related macular degeneration – a leading cause of visual impairment and blindness in adulthood.

— Reduce the risk of diabetes —

Pistachios help to control and prevent type II diabetes – one of the most common forms of diabetes caused by insulin resistance. Just two servings of pistachios a day will give you the right amount of phosphorus, which not only helps to convert proteins into amino acids, but also improves glucose tolerance.
