Facebook launches a new useful function

Popular social network will mark “reliable” media.

Company Facebook will begin with a special icon to mark the materials by reputable media.

Reportedly, the special icon “indicator reliability” (trust indicator), appear at first to only a few media, but then their number will increase.

When you click on it, the reader will be able to learn more about the work of the edition: its policies in the field of ethics, a system of factchecking and edits, as well as ownership structure.

We will remind, in August, a Facebook user decided to activate the social network a special function to check the authenticity of the news.

Thus, in publications shared by their users, the function of “related Articles” that will help to distinguish fake news from real. The company stressed that to validate news will use the updated system and send the results to factchecker.

The new feature will be available to Facebook users in the United States, France, the Netherlands and Germany.
