Researchers they analyzed the diet of 2,500 Americans aged between 70 and 79 years and found that those who ate foods low in fat, lots of fruits and vegetables, were less likely to die within the next 10 years compared to people, give preference to nutritious foods, including whole milk, cheese and ice cream.
In their study, the researchers divided the participants into several groups according to what they ate.
A total of six groups: lovers of wholesome foods, dairy products with high fat, meat, fried foods and alcohol, Breakfast cereal, refined grains, and sweets.
So, in a group, sitting on the “healthy products” included 374 people. They ate foods low in fat, fruits, cereals, poultry, fish and vegetables. Of them over the next 10 years died 77 (21%).

But 339 people, to give preference to sweets, has died at 104 (32%). A diet rich dairy products with high fat content, claimed the lives of 109 (34%) of the 332.
