Disturbing the soul of the depression in the works of Janelia mould. Photo

Nasty feeling familiar to many.

Everyone at least once in his life faced with depression, which is slowly but surely taking power, forced to give up and leave with his head in apathy. Contemporary photographer, Janelia mould (Mould Janelia) is no exception. That is why, she created the autobiographical series of works, which showed not only his state of mind in these moments, but all the emotions tormenting her.

First of all, depression is a disease that must be fought. Some resort to the help of professionals, others find solace in pills, and others committed to creativity. But often most of the problems and diseases arise in the head. And in fact many of them are not as scary as it seems at first glance, therefore, they are solved quite easily. You just need to live. Especially when you very bad and it seems that no one unhappier than you. Agree that most in this world were faced with this condition, often feeling sorry for myself on a blank place, asking the question: “Who am I really and why am I so bad?” And because we are all tired, both mentally and physically. And fatigue that accumulated for a long time and in one not fine day, flows over the edge. And then it creeps up the most depressive-apathetic state, which is sometimes so difficult to fight…

“Such a strange feeling that you lost something, but don’t know where and when. But one day comes the realization that you have lost yourself. And this is really scary…” says Janelia.

“Previously, the bad dreams are not allowed to Wake up. Now the nightmare is not allowed to sleep…”

“Sometimes I feel everything at once, and sometimes a solid blank. I don’t know what’s worse, drowning beneath the waves of sensations or die of thirst…”

“One day, someone asked me if I knew you. In my mind flashed millions of memories. Smiling, I said, “well, once upon a time…””

“On the one hand, looking into your own soul, it is difficult to understand. And looking inside – hard to explain…”

“Maybe we feel empty because we leave pieces of ourselves all that we had to love?”

“It’s not always the tears that measure the pain, sometimes it’s a smile that we falsificare…”
