Deputy chief of the General staff of the defense Ministry Colonel-General Khalil Arslanov was accused of involvement in the embezzlement of 2.2 billion rubles. All five defendants in the investigation pleaded guilty and testified at each other. One of them was a former chief of the 1st Department of the main Directorate of communications of the defense Ministry major-General Alexander Ogloblin.
