Pictures of the new crossover DS was published in the blog Citronfeng.
After the March premiere of the new crossover will likely be called DS 7 and will go on sale in early 2018.
The publication notes that the production of new products will enable Peugeot Citroen to compete in the SUV segment with such brands as Audi, BMW and Mercedes-Benz.
According to available information, DS 7 will be the first model from the automaker, which will receive the hybrid powertrain, and not on the basis of the petrol motor, as is customary, and with the new 1.5-litre diesel engine. The publication notes that looks somewhat like DS 7 shows four years ago in Shanghai concept called Wild Rubis.
It is expected that the model in the first place, will focus on the European market, where the positions of the DS brand is not as strong, although in the Chinese market of “premium French” diverges pretty rapidly. After the release of DS 7 the company will also release a compact crossover, and updates the already-produced models.
